QueerPolitics is a list devoted to the discussion and analysis of the politics of "the gay rights movement"; that is the movement for equal civil rights on the basis of sexual orientation. The idea behind the list is to facilitate discussion between people holding diverse viewpoints about strategies, personalities and policies in the struggle for LGBT rights. Items that are approved include, but are not necessarily limited to, news clippings, press releases, action alerts, announcements, expert news/issue analysis, etc. related to GLBT political issues (campaigns, information about elected officials, legislation, current political issues, etc.). Topics related to same-sex marriage should be posted to the MARRIAGE@lists.qrd.org mailing list. But the *politics* of same-sex marriage is a fair topic for the QueerPolitics mailing list. Topics related to sexual orientation and immigration should be posted to QI@lists.qrd.org (Queer Immigration). QueerPolitics is not intended to be a U.S.-centric list but will likely become so. Topics of an international nature should be posted to the QUEERPLANET@lists.qrd.org mailing list. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the queerpolitics Archives. Using queerpolitics
To post a message to all the list members, send email to queerpolitics@lists.qrd.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to queerpolitics
Subscribe to queerpolitics by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
